10 Times WWE Nepotism CRUSHED Hot Angles

1. Stephanie McMahon Owns ECW?!

This was the pits.

Shane McMahon announcing himself as the new owner of WCW was one thing. That happened in March 2001, and neatly fit into the build towards a match vs. Vince at 'Mania X-Seven. People were into it - they could cope with Shane leading the erratic and mismanaged WCW to better things.

Months later, Stephanie McMahon proudly swanned to the ring as the new owner of ECW, and sh*t hit the fan. Paul Heyman was right there, but he had to play second fiddle to Stephanie just so the WWF could shovel more McMahon family in-fighting down fan throats (which they were tired of seeing, especially considering it had been done to death for 2000's "McMahon In Every Corner" WrestleMania).

The sight of Stephanie wearing her ECW-branded leather cap was too much. Overnight, the Invasion storyline lost some serious lustre it'd never get back. What on earth were they thinking by making Steph the queen of extreme?
