As much as they try, WWE can't control the fans.

On an episode of Raw in 2013, several former World champions were stood in the ring, which made for a stacked list of some of the industry's biggest stars.

Bret "Hitman" Hart stood with Mick Foley, Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels, and even more certified legends. Even the host, Triple H, was a multi time WWE and World Heavyweight Champion. The ring was absolutely star-studded.

Unfortunately for the bookers out there, in 2013 the Seattle crowd only cared about one person: Daniel Bryan.

If you've seen this moment before, it's likely that you don't remember a word Triple H said. You might recall the Heartbreak Kid trying to quieten the audience. You'll definitely remember Mark Henry raising the American Dragon's arm to thunderous applause. This is one of those organic moments where the crowd took over. It's the exact time where Yes! became a movement.

Why did it go viral for a totally stupid reason? Quite simply put, because none of this was ever supposed to happen. WWE wanted fans to admire a group of its biggest stars, while listening intently to Triple H and not really paying much attention to those standing at the back.

Instead, much like the capacity crowd in Seattle, standing up and pointing to the sky while shouting "Yes! Yes! Yes!" become a phenomenon all over world. Friends in bars, children in playgrounds, athletes in sports like American football and baseball started doing it en masse.

Hang your head in shame for not strapping a rocket to Daniel Bryan sooner, WWE.

When I'm not trying my hardest to visit all 50 U.S. states, I'm listening to music from the 80s, watching TV from the 90s, and reminiscing about growing up in the 00s. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia so WWE premium live events are on Sunday afternoons for me; the absolute dream.
