10 Times WWE Took Away The ONE Thing That Got Wrestlers Over
9. Tucker
Chad Gable has done wonders for Otis since enlisting the big man as his 'Alpha Academy' pet project and introducing him to the humble BIC razor. Together, they're one hell of a tag-team, and their union has rescued Otis from the trappings of midcard WWE comedy.
Pre-Alpha, Otis was Mr. Money In The Bank. Before that, he was chumming around with "Tucky" as half of Heavy Machinery. The team had some steam when they first traded NXT for SmackDown, but that fizzled out once it became clear that Otis was management's priority, not Tucker.
Tuck earned rave reviews for his performances as a caring companion when Mandy Rose was romantically mindf*cking his mate last summer. That could've led to something more, but WWE randomly thought a split for the Machinery lads was their best bet.
It was a disaster, and it left Tucker dead in the water. The poor guy has since been released and spoken about how much he regrets the heel turn in numerous interviews - teaming with Otis was all he really had.
