10 Times WWE Tried To Fix Something That Wasn't Broken

Revisionists will tell you that Roman always sucked, but during the early part of his career, 'The Big Dog' - alongside Shield mates Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose - was among the most over wrestlers on the roster.

Something changed when they went their separate ways, though. Roman stopped being a take-no-prisoners badass (who seldom had much to say, and when he did it was generally worth listening to), to someone who cracked wise and broke the fourth wall.

If WWE wanted to make Roman its next franchise player, then you would have to say mission accomplished, in the sense that he does invite comparisons to John Cena.

But the endless jeers can't have been part of the plan, which makes you wonder what could have been if they kept him on his original path.
