There have only been five Buried Alive matches in the history of WWE (six if you include this year's Boneyard Match), so it shouldn't be that hard to come up with unique and innovative finishes - especially when you consider the fact that they all took place across a 14-year-period. That didn't stop the creative team from attempting to repeat history in 2010 when The Undertaker met Kane at Bragging Rights.

A rivalry that was already built upon revisiting the past, it concluded when 'The Deadman' was overpowered by the invading Nexus and assisted Kane and Paul Bearer in burying The Undertaker alive.

It seemed like it was a plot orchestrated by Bearer and the only reason this writer assumes that is the fact that it was a direct replica of the ending of the very first Buried Alive match in 1996 - during which Bearer and Mankind obtained the services of a host of WWE superstars to bury 'The Phenom' alive.

However, this ending made more sense in 1996 because Bearer was portrayed as a legitimate mastermind and 'Taker had his enemies back then. In 2010, the Nexus randomly showing up to attack a well-respected veteran - and, more importantly, help Kane - with no explanation as to why just lacked any kind of logic.
