Long before becoming 'The Undertaker.' a young 'Mean' Mark Callous fought Sting in a losing effort during his early WCW run. However, 'The Deadman' has never gone one-on-one with The Crow Sting, a match many wrestling fans have begged WWE to produce for years.

When 'The Stinger' finally made the jump to New York in 2014, the company had all the ingredients needed to make the match happen. Rather than get the dream match fans wanted, though, the wrestling giant put on its own: Sting vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 31. Upon its next opportunity to pit the monochromatic legends against each other, McMahon & Co went with Sting vs. Seth Rollins instead, in which 'Stinger' suffered an injury that led to his in-ring retirement.

Over the years, Sting has told fans he would love to face 'The Phenom,' but the match has never come to fruition. It had a stronger chance of happening back in 2001 when WWE almost signed the WCW loyalist, but he decided not to join the company.

'The Deadman' himself mentioned no one from WWE ever proposed the match to him, but he knew that fans wanted it. Unfortunately, 'Taker felt the match should have happened a long time ago, if it was going to, as his body isn't as strong or reliable as it once was. If the dream match were to occur today, Undertaker felt as though he couldn't deliver on the decades of hype.
