10 Times You Couldn't Admit YOU WERE WRONG About WWE

1. Cody Rhodes Must End The Bloodline

Roman Reigns
WWE Network

Twitter/X almost collapsed in on itself with negativity during the immediate aftermath of WrestleMania 39. WWE fans raged until they could rage no more that Cody Rhodes was booked to lose in the main event vs. Roman Reigns. How could they? How could WWE script that safe bet babyface success story to fail?!

Because the product has no end point, that's why.

Look, most can see the merits to Cody toppling Reigns this past spring and riding high as Undisputed Champ, but...has Rhodes really been knackered by losing? No, not at all. If anything, fans are behind him more now than they were heading into that match.

Further, WWE has been able to cash even more checks with The Bloodline story. It's sagging now, but they've squeezed more magic out of Reigns/The Usos/Solo Sikoa/Paul Heyman, and that wouldn't have been possible had Cody whipped the 'Tribal Chief' on 2 April 2023.
