10 Times You Couldn't Admit YOU WERE WRONG About WWE

7. Dean Ambrose Was ‘Mishandled’

This might not go down well with some, and that's OK.

Ask 100 wrestling fans to sum up Jon Moxley's WWE run as Dean Ambrose, and they'll ultimately land on thoughts that Vince McMahon restricting Mox's hardcore leanings meant he was mishandled. It is true that Ambrose went too goofy towards the end (then it was too late to reel things back in), but it doesn't tell the full story of why he bolted into the warm embrace of Tony Khan's AEW.

As an All Eliter, Jon has produced several massive highs, but he's also responsible for some embarrassing lows. His weekly need to bleed wouldn't have flown in WWE anyway, but that's not on Vince; bleeding for the sake of it in random Rampage tag matches hardly makes for must-see television.

It's clear now that WWE were right to edit Dean's CZW love letter style, including during brawls vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Did that match tank? Yeah, but would Ambrose carving his body to pieces with glass or other gimmicks have helped? Probs not.
