10 TNA Wrestlers Who Should Have Been World Champion (But Never Were)

8. Matt Morgan

TNA Championship

Limited to two separate TNA Tag Team Championship reigns, 'The Blueprint' Matt Morgan was destined for so much more after his WWE release. Misused by Vince McMahon as a bland big man (with an exaggerated stutter as his only notable characteristic), he was built up by TNA as the definition of genetic perfection.

A dangerous, arrogant heel for much of his time in the company, Morgan came close to winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on a number of occasions. He was usually foiled by Jeff Hardy or Mr Anderson, a pair with five combined reigns between them.

Morgan deserved a shot due to his surprising mobility for a man of his size, as well as his natural charisma. Although never versatile enough to play anything beyond a bullying heel or cocky babyface, he was still far more comfortable on the mic than many of his more successful peers - including the far more successful Hardy.
