10 Toughest WWE Superstars Of The 21st Century
1. Brock Lesnar
There could only be one man to top this list and he is "The Beast, The Conqueror, Brrrrrock Lesnar!"
An NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Champion, Lesnar was undefeated in his senior year with a record of 33-0. His athletic prowess was immediately evident in WWE, manhandling sizeable opposition like Rikishi and Big Show for fun.
When he received a barrage of brutal chair shots to the face from Jeff Hardy and simply took it in his stride, it was clear that Lesnar was indeed a beast. If that wasn't proof enough, his spectacular recovery from the botched Shooting Star Press at WrestleMania XIX solidified his status completely.
Lesnar's decision to leave WWE for the NFL was dumbfounding to the wrestling world in 2004, yet Lesnar's craving for competition almost made it work; he was the last man cut from the Minnesota Vikings' pre-season squad. Lesnar soon found his calling when he switched to MMA, winning the UFC Championship from Randy Couture in only his third UFC fight.
His annihilation of Heath Herring at UFC 87 and domination of Frank Mir at UFC 100 proved that he belonged, while his return post-diverticulitis was validation that he was truly a fighter's fighter. His dominance since returning to WWE reaffirmed his toughness, while his lone UFC fight in 2016 proved he can still go in the Octagon as well.
They don't come any tougher.
