10 UFC Fighters Who Had Perfect Performances Inside The Octagon

3. Holly Holm Vs. Ronda Rousey - UFC 193

There was a point in time when going up against Ronda Rousey felt like a death sentence for many female fighters. The Olympic judoka had destroyed every single woman put in her path, using her patented armbar or strikes to finish opponents inside the Octagon.

Her opponent at UFC 193, Holly Holm, had two fights with the promotion prior to her title shot, but neither of her wins against Raquel Pennington or Marion Reneau made her an overwhelming favourite to be the first person to defeat Rousey in MMA. The win against Pennington could've gone either way and the victory over Reneau was decisive, but hardly created any excitement.

However, the Holly Holm that stepped into the Octagon that night against Rousey was a completely different person. Holm took away her two main weapons, the clinch and her strikes, and picked her apart with her vastly superior kickboxing skills.

By the end of round one, Rousey was a bloody mess and within 59 seconds of the second round she was staring up into the lights of the Dockland Stadium in Melbourne, Australia after getting knocked out with a vicious head kick.
