10 UFC Fights That Could Soon Break Records

2. Conor McGregor Vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

Currently sat atop the UFC buyrate mountain is the first grudge-match between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor at UFC 229 in October 2018.

With an overall haul of 2,400,000 buys, it dwarfs all other UFC events that came before it. So, if any fight were to 'smash' that record, a rematch between the pair for the UFC Lightweight title has to be the best bet, surely.

Yet, even though it appears to be the fight that Dana White definitely wants to make - for obvious reasons - variables ranging from Kamaru Usman to Nate Diaz to Jorge Masvidal have all threatened to keep this showdown on the back-burner, not to mention Khabib's reluctance to engage with the often poisonous 'Notorious' one again. Also, any repeat of the post-UFC 229 antics between the two wouldn't be a good look for the company.

However, if it does happen - either towards the end of the year or at UFC 249 - there's no doubting that this epic feud writing another chapter into the history books would force the world to take notice and when that happens it tends to mean big bucks for Mr. White.

Does any other main event on the horizon have what it takes to break that record?

Well...
