10 UFC Fights That Need To Happen In 2020

1. Khabib Vs. GSP

The window for Georges St-Pierre vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov to happen is getting smaller and smaller with each passing month, meaning that if the fight is ever to take place then it would have to be in 2020.

GSP is held up as one of the all-time greats and an icon of MMA, while Khabib is on a 12-0 UFC tear - with an overall 28-0 MMA record - that sees him viewed as the very best fighter in the world today. Any potential fight between this pair is viewed as the sort of dream match that rarely ever comes to fruition, but that's not to say it's an impossible fight to make.

After returning from a four-year absence to beat Michael Bisping for the UFC Middleweight Championship in 2017, St-Pierre then retired entirely from MMA due to some medical issues. Now while Rush has previously played down the talk of yet another big return, more recently the French-Canadian has gone public with how he'd take a fight with Nurmagomedov should the money be right.

For Khabib's part, he's openly stated how he would love to test himself against GSP, while Dana White has also stoked the fires about how the fight could be a possibility should The Eagle get past Tony Ferguson. If ever Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Georges St-Pierre is to happen, the fight needs to be next year - particularly as GSP is edging ever closer to 40 years of age.
