5. Sycho Sid

Much like Luger, Sid's career is a long and successful one that spanned the entire length of the Monday Night wars as well as the several years that preceded it.

During Sid's initial run with WCW, he was paired with Dan Spivey as The Skyscrapers, memorably feuding with the Steiners and the Road Warriors. However, a punctured lung would see him out of action, and he was quickly replaced by Mark Callous (who later, of course, became The Undertaker). When he returned, he did so as a Horseman and continued until the group disbanded in '91.

Following Ric Flair's lead, Sid went to the WWF, where he was runner up in the 1992 Royal Rumble match and headlined WrestleMania VIII against Hulk Hogan. Sid returned to WCW shortly after for a short run in '93, which came to a literally bloody demise following the infamous "scissors incident" with Arn Anderson.

Nevertheless, Sid resurfaced in the WWF in '95 and went on to win the WWF Championship twice, defeating both Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart for those honours. He also headlined his second WrestleMania in '97 before bowing out after King of the Ring.

A brief spell in ECW bridged the gap before he made a return to WCW in '99, where he would win the WCW Championship twice as well as the US Title, capping off a Hall of Fame worthy career.
