10 Underutilized Wrestlers In WWE (Who Could Be Stars In AEW)

5. Apollo Crews

If you were to go into a lab and build the prototypical big man for a fast paced promotion like AEW, you would probably end up with Apollo Crews.

Standing just over six feet and weighing at 240 pounds, that does not stop Crews from performing STANDING shooting star presses. That should be enough to make a case for why it is unfitting to have Crews on and off of television after Titus Worldwide was disbanded.

The WWE talent overpopulation is doing Apollo no favors either. There simply isn't enough time to simultaneously build a new star with guys like Crews when you have current projects not even having enough time. Aleister Black and Ali are perfect recent examples of pushes being abandoned just as quickly as they began. Crews would likely be a similar story at this rate, unfortunately.

AEW as stated before needs more big, imposing figures. Wardlow and Jake Hager can't be the only "heavyweights" in that promotion. Crews is exactly the wrestler who could put on fast paced, high flying oriented contests with smaller guys whilst still having enough strength to throw them around like rag dolls.

And although he may not win the AEW championship, he will certainly be utilized better than waiting for when WWE needs their next random kick-off show opponent.
