10 Ups & 1 Down From IMPACT Wrestling Victory Road 2021

8. You Never Walk Alone

Hikuleo's official debut in IMPACT Wrestling went down a treat, as he and Chris Bey put on a decent encounter opposite FinJuice. The whole story surrounding the match was the injured ankle of Juice Robinson, a story that was told beautifully as he walked down the ramp, refraining from being his usual jovial self.

The Bullet Club tandem controlled this for a portion, with FinJuice's early control failing to last long. A Juice Robinson pouncing Senton was about the extent of their offence. Once BC gained the advantage, a wonderous match ensued. They targeted Juice's ankle to great effect. Even small details like Chris Bey mockingly limping around Juice worked because this was then met with crafty spots like Juice avoiding a chop block, sending Bey flying.

Your writer came away from this having more admiration for Hikuleo. The Tongan impressed here, with a delayed vertical suplex to Robinson legitimately acting as a potential match-ender. His Samoan driver to Juice that ended the match had such a gloss to it that it looked brutal for such a basic manoeuvre. It came after Bey hit Juice's injured ankle with a chair, of course, but the point still stands. This was a solid, effective match with the right result.
