3. Fulton Breaks Through

Last night's match vs. Christopher Daniels was yet another breakthrough outing for Madman Fulton. Even in defeat, the former Sawyer Fulton looked like a beast against genuine professional wrestling royalty.

The match lived up to its expectations. For Daniels' first IMPACT match since 2014, there was always going to be an aura of anticipation, which Fulton counteracted by dominating the 'Fallen Angel' in places. One STO botch aside, Madman made you believe he could end the match at any point with his range of traditional big man offence. A tilt-a-whirl Powerslam immediately stands out, as not only did Fulton execute the manoeuvre to crisp perfection, but Daniels sold it blissfully for him.

Once Josh Alexander had disposed of Ace Austin, Daniels finished off Fulton with a beautiful Best Moonsault Ever, but only after Fulton had kicked out of an Angel's Wings at the count of one.

It seems to be that every time Madman Fulton has a marquee singles match, he excels within it. Your writer recalls a no disqualifications bout vs. Doc Gallows from around this time last year as a particular example. The Anthem-helmed promotion will likely never strap him up as its World Champion, but Fulton doesn't need a title; the crowd reaction he received puts him over as a star in itself.
