10 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 15)

6. No Truce

Continuing their rivalry that began in Wrestle House, The Deaners and XXXL collided this week in a match that exceeded any expectations it had going into it. Considering the sheer size of all four men involved, it wasn't really going to be anything other than a bunch of big beefy boys knocking chunks out of each other, which is exactly what we got.

Sometimes, the predicted match is the best option.

Acey Romero and Larry D, in particular, were on top form here, with Romero recently dropping over 100 lbs. While still the biggest and beefiest boy on the roster, the agility of the man is second to none, as proven by the speed he charged in at to send Cody Deaner flying across the ring in one swift movement. A Best Hand In The House knockout punch courtesy of Larry to Cousin Jake ensured an XXXL victory.

Their Wrestle House story wasn't anything too serious - The Deaners had their beer stolen, and presumed it was XXXL who had done so. The fact they've been able to carve an excellent match out of such a simple story is tremendous. While neither team is currently involved in the title picture, you'd have to imagine that will change dramatically post-Bound For Glory.

Acey pouncing either of the Motor City Machine Guns across the ring? It writes itself.
