There are going to be some people rushing to Twitter to complain that Becky Lynch is in the middle of the hottest period of her career, so why would WWE take the title off her now?

Simply put, she doesn’t need it right this second.

Who are Lynch’s top rivals right now? Charlotte Flair (SmackDown), Nia Jax (Raw) and Ronda Rousey (Raw). You very clearly can see them planting the seeds of a triple threat between Rousey, Flair and Lynch, with Ronda costing the other two the SmackDown Women’s Championship at TLC. And with Rousey holding the Raw Women’s Championship, it would give Lynch something to fight for.

In the interim, she can battle new champ Asuka, who finally reached the mountaintop eight months after she should have at WrestleMania 34. It was good to see her win the big one, so now she can hopefully have a nice little reign with the title as part of her rehabilitation.
