10 Ups And Downs For WWE In 2014

7. This Is Sting!

WWE gave fans a legit mark-out moment at the end of Survivor Series when Sting, the last WCW holdout from the Monday Night War, made his debut on WWE programming. Pick a major WCW star from the late 90s. Odds are that he spent some time in WWF/E either before or after the Monday Night War. All except Sting€ until Survivor Series. For a change, WWE has handled this debut really well. Sting€™s appearance in the WWE 2K15 video game commercial got a huge ovation from the live crowd earlier this year, and his sporadic appearances at certain events helped build a buzz before he showed up to disrupt the main event and help defeat the Authority. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_GE23hgXMw Granted, Sting€™s extremely limited contract could hamper storylines going forward, but for a one-shot appearance, this one was definitely a high point for the year.
