10 Ups And Downs For WWE In 2014

4. WrestleMania XXX Icon Powwow

If someone told you that the first half-hour of WrestleMania XXX would make it worth your money, you€™d probably be skeptical. If they told you that it was just an in-ring promo, you€™d think they were crazy. But the opening of WrestleMania XXX has to go down as one of the most memorable moments in WWE history, with three genuine icons gathering in the ring. Hulk Hogan (who couldn€™t remember whether he was in New Orleans or Pontiac), €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin and the Rock held court in the ring, shooting the breeze and eventually drinking some beers. The surreal scene drew wild chants and cheers from the crowd €“ including some jeers when Hogan kept referring to the Superdome as the Silverdome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=le_s3hNwhIo Nonetheless, this was the kind of moment that simply can€™t be manufactured. Three of the biggest stars in professional wrestling history congregated in one ring at WrestleMania. Sure, it was a mutual admiration society where nothing really of note was said, but when will you ever see that again?
