10 Vince McMahon Matches You Completely Forgot About
3. Vince McMahon Vs. Ric Flair
Just two weeks ahead of the historic WrestleMania XXIV 'win or retire' payoff with Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair would face the architect of his troubling circumstances in a choice street fight on Monday Night Raw.
Employing all the usual shortcuts synonymous with Vince's battles (as well as those used with regularity in latter Flair matches), the pair bumped and bled with velocity, betraying their collected ages or the in-ring shortcomings of McMahon in particular.
Using a host of weapons, Vince opened Flair up, giving 'The Nature Boy' one of his last 'crimson masks' in a WWE match and ramping up the drama as he attempted to put a bullet in 'Slick Ric's career before Shawn Michaels could.
Despite the unlikeliness of a Vince victory, McMahon came agonisingly close after eye-watering shots to Flair's head with both a kendo stick and a steel chair.
In fact, it would be 'The Heartbreak Kid' that would aid Flair after the chairshot, buying Ric enough time to hit an uncharacteristic splash through Vince and a table for the massive win.
