10 Ways SmackDown Live! Can Recover Before 2018

8. End Of The Day?

On this week's edition of the show, The Usos and The New Day had yet another encounter, this time to determine the stipulation for their next match.

If that doesn't quite sound stupid enough, consider that the aired version barely totalled three minutes in length, despite the fact that their prior matches stole all the headlines at both Battleground and SummerSlam, despite their cruel pre-show relegation in the case of the latter.

The Usos were successful, meaning they will choose the conditions the duos duel under, theoretically ensuring another victory for Jimmy and Jey that should freeze Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods entirely out of the title picture.

This in turn could form the beginning of the end for The New Day. By no means an angle that should be rushed, SmackDown Live! has the opportunity to foster a longterm storyline severance between the once-triumphant trio that has the potential to craft three brand new singles runs for each member. Big E seems the most logical to make the turn, perhaps snapping on his leaner comrades in an effort to break out again as a destructive monster.

However, The New Day have been full of surprises since even getting the gimmick over under the most unlikely of circumstances back in 2015, so a possible switch for either Xavier or Kofi would be far from out of the question.
