10. TNA Or IMPACT, One Or The Other
In my previous article that I wrote discussing what turned me off TNA was the fact that after 10 years of building the brand name the powers that be at the time decided to throw a spanner in the works by revamping their flagship show and rebranding it IMPACT wrestling. The thing was though they kept TNA, which made absolutely no sense at all. Brand recognition is a very important thing for business. It has literally taken a decade for the WWE to get over the WWF stigma and TNA has effectively destroyed their marketability in one stupid move by confusing potential investors and advertisers with two completely different company names. Is it TNA Wrestling presents IMPACT? Is it IMPACT wrestling presents TNA? I want to know what the show I am watching is actually called please. And something else that was pointed out in my previous piece was TNA's B show, "Explosion" Now, what do you call that, IMPACT Wrestling presents Explosion? TNA presents IMPACT Wrestling's Explosion? Or just Explosion Wrestling? It would be the equivalent of the WWE changing the name of their flagship show RAW to WWE Presents RAW Wrestling or making it an acronym like Ruthless Aggression Wrestling. Now how stupid would that be? Exactly. Just give it a simple name and move on. TNA Impact was pretty much perfect, go back to that.
