flickr The WWE own the rights to the libraries of so many wrestling companies, yet the WWE Network features merely a small drop in the ocean when it comes to what they could include on the service. Sure, weve got an ever-increasing amount of WCW Nitros, an impressive amount of ECW content, and odd bits of WCCW and AWA stuff, but theres so much more material that the WWE has at its finger tips. To put it into perspective, the WWE owns the right to any and all footage from the likes of WCW, ECW, WCCW, AWA, Stampede Wrestling, Smokey Mountain Wrestling, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Maple Leaf Wrestling and even former developmental facilities such as Ohio Valley Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling, and Florida Championship Wrestling. Certain generations of fans want nothing more from the WWE Network than to go back and watch extensive shows from World Class heyday or from the times that the AWA ruled the roost or when Stampede Wrestling was overflowing with the stars of tomorrow. Then theres the use of developmental footage, which could be showcased to highlight the roads trodden by the stars of today, such as looking at the times that Brock Lesnar, Batista, John Cena or Randy Orton were coming through the doors of OVW, or at the time spent in FCW by Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns et al.
