10 Ways To Make WWE Cool Again

5. No More Lame Babyfaces

Speaking of Seth Rollins, when he was out injured in 2016, fans couldn't wait to see him return. All of that momentum seemed to herald a babyface turn, but for the sake of preserving Roman Reigns as the top good guy, Rollins was brought back as a heel. Finally, he did turn, but his booking left so much to be desired that 2015's MVP now feels completely cold.

This, unfortunately, is how the company books all of its babyfaces (except Reigns, of course). They're portrayed as placid, stupid, and homogeneous, and further undermined by a match style that sees heels dominate the majority of each individual bout. It's little wonder that bored fans would rather cheer for the bad guys.

Really popular babyfaces of yesteryear - like The Rock and Steve Austin - never allowed any disrespect from opponents, were always portrayed as smarter and more quick-witted than their enemies, and had their own well-defined personalities. They were itching for a fight, and were more than willing to start one if denied the opportunity, but were always shown to be courageous and fair. Is it any wonder so many people cheered them?
