10 Ways To Make WWE's Brand Split More Compelling

6. Call Up More Wrestlers

A simple way to make a brand split more compelling is to just call up some more names from NXT. This may anger some die hard fans of the developmental territory, but as soon as a wrestler is ready for the main roster, they should be called up.

The brand is watched nowhere near as much as Raw and SmackDown, and it only makes a fraction of the money that the big brands do. There are just far too many talented men and women risking getting injured in front of only a couple hundred people to justify keeping it as a bit of a vanity project. Just look at what happened to Hideo Itami...multiple times.

Right now we should have at least Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, Asuka, The Revival, Samoa Joe and Austin Aries on Raw or SmackDown. Do Steph and Shane not watch those shows? If they do, how can they justify employing the Spirit Squad and Jinder Mahal over Nakamura?

Both of the major brands need more stars, and there's already a few in the company for the taking. It's not fair for the bodies of the wrestlers, their bank accounts or our entertainment that they're being kept in the minor leagues when they're clearly ready for a promotion.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
