WWE thinks we’re stupid. So they don’t bother giving us any details about anything. We are just not capable of handling it.

Okay. So let’s think about the brand split logistics for a moment. Who is funding this thing? As far as we know, it’s Vince McMahon, but does he distribute his wealth across both shows equally? Does he have a dog in the fight? WWE should give us some sort of explanation as to what power his kids really do have. Just make it up and say they both have to use their own money to run their respective shows, and so they really do have something at stake. It’s a fake reason, but it’s at least a reason.

And really, what the hell is Vince trying to accomplish with the entire brand split from a kayfabe perspective? He should have tried to base it out of some form of reality that we can get behind. Basically, he's getting old and someday one of his kids (almost assuredly Stephanie) is going to take the kingdom over. But make it seem like Shane is still in the game as well. Vince's promo at the time of the split made it seem like he wanted them to put each other out of business, which...makes no sense, because he kind of owns the company.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
