10 Ways WWE Have Already Weakened Sting's Relevance

5. Why The Wait?

On November 23rd, Sting made his big debut for WWE at the climax of the Survivor Series main event. He made the biggest splash possible by hitting Triple H with with his signature Scorpion Death Drop and played an instrumental role in deposing The Authority. Why did WWE wait so long to debut Sting, and what was the reasoning behind his appearance at Survivor Series? It€™s was a done deal that Sting was going to appear in WWE at some point in the year, but was the Survivor Series match so important that his debut had to be saved for it? Perhaps more importantly, what was Sting€™s motive for helping Dolph Ziggler and Team Cena defeat The Authority. As a character, he€™s never met John Cena, or Dolph Ziggler, or even Triple H, so why insert himself into matters that he had nothing to do with? Sting€™s debut at Survivor Series was undeniably cool, but it ended up leaving fans with more questions than answers. On reflection, it just seems like WWE realised they were coming up to WrestleMania season, so they best introduce him to familiarise fans with who he is and what he€™s about as quickly as possible.
