10 Ways WWE Have Already Weakened Sting's Relevance

4. Who Benefits?

One of the big pieces of news that came out of Sting€™s arrival in WWE is who WWE picked to be the Sole Survivor of the match. Although John Cena was the team captain, he wasn€™t the one to get the win and dethrone The Authority, it was €œThe Show Off€ Dolph Ziggler. Dolph Ziggler has been one of WWE€™s best wrestlers and hardest workers for years, and fans have been clamouring for him to get a sustained push for years. WWE have handed him the ball on a number of occasions, but for whatever reason he€™s never been able to remain in that top tier like some of his peers have. Sting€™s involvement in the match, and his being the one to drape Dolph Ziggler€™s arm over Seth Rollins was supposed to be the rocket under Ziggler that he sorely needed, but instead it tarnished all three men. Seth Rollins was down for about five minute before he was pinned, Ziggler needed Sting to get the win, and Sting himself had no business being out there. It€™s easy to see what WWE are trying to accomplish with Sting, they want him to be an enforcer of justice unaffiliated with the promotion, but by having him interfere in matches like this just make it seem like the main roster guys can€™t get the job done. It€™s something that€™s been said before about part-timers, but out of Sting and Dolph Ziggler only one of them€™s going to be on Raw next week and that€™s the guy WWE should be focusing on.
