The Great One has confirmed that he was interested in competing at this year's WrestleMania 34 too, a plan that was scuppered only by the fact that he was off promoting Rampage in the Far East the very same week.

On that occasion, the match mooted for him was a tag team bout alongside Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. This year, there's no obvious opponent, but that's what makes this prospect so interesting: we could be looking at a completely fresh match-up.

Then again, we could also be looking at Rock-Cena III: Thrice in a Lifetime. So, you know, maybe we really should be careful what we wish for.
