10 Ways WWE Can Guarantee A WrestleMania 35 Sell-Out
6. A Clean Bill Of Health
On the one hand, it seems futile asking WWE to try and keep their performers from getting injured on the eve of WrestleMania, since a lot of it simply comes down to sheer chance.
But that doesn't mean they are totally helpless. Working such a rigorous road schedule month in, month out is bound to have an affect on performers, both in terms of their morale and their susceptibility to injury.
While any attempt to change that is likely to be resisted by the company's hierarchy, they can't ignore the raft of injuries we've seen over the last couple of years, often just as 'Mania season comes within view.
This year, it was Dean Ambrose and Samoa Joe; last year, it was very nearly Seth Rollins, and the year before that it was practically half the roster. That kind of thing can seriously damage both ticket sales and Network numbers. Fans pay for the wrestlers, not the brand name, and they need to be fully fit to put on their best.
