10 Ways WWE Completely Buries Babyfaces In 2017

5. They Never Seek Redemption

Wrestlers have always been written performers, but nobody will ever deeply understand a character quite as much as the man or woman playing the role. It beggars belief then, how certain stars can tolerate their avatar being completely neglected at such a high level.

Finn Bálor's post-WrestleMania return was an acceptable way to bring him back into the hustle and bustle of WWE's cookie-cutter conflict, but not remotely the way 'The Demon King' would actually come back to action after the cruellest of injury blows the prior year.

He stood side by side with Seth Rollins on his first night back. The very man that shelved him in the first place. He completely ignored Brock Lesnar, 'The Beast' that holds the Universal Championship he never lost. These are not the actions of a man fans are meant to believe spent every day battling through painful rehab to make a return to the ring.

Since his comeback, very little has changed for the character. It's begs the question that if Finn's not doing either of the above, what's he even doing there at all? Vince McMahon has similarly little sympathy - Bálor was allegedly on the whiteboard as Brock's Royal Rumble opponent. Months of indifference has seen his name tragically erased.
