In the midst of a four-month rivalry between Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie, Torrie's father Al was seduced by Dawn Marie and began an onscreen relationship with her. His daughter Torrie was understandably upset by this.

Dawn Marie promised Torrie that she would break things off with Al if Torrie spent the night with her in a hotel room. This later turned out to be a ruse, as Dawn Marie married Al in a ceremony on Smackdown while both of them were in their underwear.

The next week, Al Wilson "died" from a heart attack after too much sex with Dawn Marie. Because nobody does a dignified sendoff for dads like WWE. And, naturally, this beef was settled with a match at the Royal Rumble, which Torrie won.
