10 Weirdest Moments In CM Punk's WWE Career
1. Tipping The Urn
Fun fact: Punk's rivalry with The Undertaker in the build up to WrestleMania 29 was his last ever run as a heel. He rendered it a rocking good feud, even if he later stated in real life to be far from content with it.
In the WrestleMania go-home episode of Raw, Punk committed a supreme act of evil, and in the PG era of all places. He'd been taunting Taker with the stolen urn containing Paul Bearer's ashes for some weeks, but it finally came to a head during a surprise attack on The Dead Man, whereby Punk disguised himself as a druid. Paul Heyman was also in on the act, and loitered in the background dressed up as a mock Paul Bearer. It was bizarre.
The segment closed with CM Punk tipping the ashes of the Undertaker's former mentor over The Phenom's wounded body. You might think that in itself was taking it a bit too far, but the real disgusting moment came next. During and after this disrespectful defilement, Punk also smeared handfuls of the ash on his own face and chest so soon after Bearer's very real death. What was initially dastardly, swiftly became psychotic.
Hardly a fitting tribute.
