10 Wildest Spots In The History Of The WWE Money In The Bank Match

3. Benjamin Steps Up

For one of our top moments, we're going all the way back to the very first Money In The Bank ladder match in the bygone age of 2005.

WrestleMania 21's six-man ladder match was a fantastic way to kick the annual tradition off with a bang. Guys like Chris Jericho, Christian, and Kane provided suitably wild and varied offence and the eventual winner, Edge, used his briefcase to cement himself as a main event player in WWE.

The match also made a star out a certain Shelton Benjamin, who was very much the Kofi Kingston of his time, except he never won the WWE Championship. Aww.

Benjamin did impress in multiple Money In The Bank ladder matches, however, especially this one. His most memorable spot - probably the most memorable of the entire match - involved him running up a ladder onto another ladder to deck Chris Jericho with a clothesline.

How Benjamin didn't fall through the rungs of either ladder is a total mystery; Shelton truly was in a league of his own when it came to athleticism and this spot proved that and then some.
