10 Worst Booked Wrestlers Of 2017
9. Tye Dillinger
Remember when Tye Dillinger was one of the most over performers in the world?
No? Perfectly understandable, given the malaise that has bedevilled his career since arriving on the main roster.
There was a time when not a single show would pass without fired-up crowds busting out "10" chants for every referee's count. Dillinger's gimmick was incredibly popular, and this was before he'd even made it to the main roster, so WWE did the logical thing and had him appear at no. 10 in the Royal Rumble, drawing a massive pop from the crowd.
His prospects looked great, but WWE dropped the ball soon after. Tye didn't become a full-time roster member until April, and while still popular, the 10 gimmick had already lost much of its zest. Nonetheless, Dillinger started in textbook fashion, running through a host of jobbers en route to United States Title contention, but struggled to gather steam thereafter.
Having wrestled AJ Styles and Baron Corbin at Hell In A Cell, Tye's now lucky if to make it onto SmackDown these days, and hasn't wrestled since the October pay-per-view. He's lost at sea without a compass, and who knows if he'll find his course.
