Similar to Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair in 2016, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were in the midst of an incredibly exciting feud heading into Hell in a Cell 2014. Rollins had beaten Ambrose twice before and thus fans were excited to see The Lunatic Fringe finally give him his comeuppance in the conclusion to their long-running rivalry.

The match was perfectly fine for what it was but far from the spectacle it should have been. The former Shield stablemates took their fight to the top of Hell in a Cell and at one point fell off the side of the structure through the commentary tables down below, but the overall outing lacked the intensity it needed to truly feel special.

Their main event failing to live up to its lofty hype wouldn't have mattered as long as Ambrose emerged victorious. As he was closing in on the victory, the lights went out. Random ramblings were heard over the intercom, and when the lights came back on, a hologram of an unidentifiable figure appeared.

The visual was every bit as dumb as it sounds.

Bray Wyatt then attacked Ambrose out of nowhere and allowed an incapacitated Rollins to cover his former friend for the win. The lame finish would have been fine if the Ambrose vs. Wyatt feud was as exciting as it has the potential to be, but that too underwhelmed and did further damage to Ambrose's momentum.
