The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar have had some cracking battles in the past.

They waged war in 2002. They waged war in 2015. The only time they did not wage war, however, was their sole clash in 2014.

It's ironic that the most infamous of all their brawls is their least entertaining one, but in a strangely romantic kind of way, that adds to the infamy. Unfortunately that romanticism, if you will, doesn't make it any easier to watch.

Due to the inexplicable concussion 'Taker suffered early on, the already-slow match ground to a halt and 'The Phenom' wrestled the lengthy battle with a dazed look in his eyes, going through the motions without ever being truly present for any of the action.

The two worked a respectable bout in the early-going, clearly allowing 'Taker to channel his five-star prize fighter 'Mania persona here. The problem is that this 'Taker was never going to drag a five-star epic out of 'The Beast' because that's not where Brock works best. This - and the concussion, obviously - resulted in a joyless affair that dragged on way too long and a finish that robbed us of anything remotely feelgood - a sin for an Undertaker match at 'Mania.
