10 Worst Title Reigns In AEW So Far
8. Nyla Rose (AEW Women's Championship, 101 Days)
Nyla Rose was barely given a chance to establish the AEW Women's Championship that was floundering in early 2020, only defending the title twice in over three months. The total apathy that the company seemed to have for the division was summed up by how the women's title was never given a platform until Britt Baker captured it almost two years later.
Despite this, Nyla Rose and the inaugural AEW Women's Champion Riho managed to have a couple of great matches to try and establish the title. The 'Native Beast' would have little opportunity to do much more than that though, as she retained the title once against Kris Statlander in February 2020 before losing the title in only her second defense in May at Double or Nothing against Hikaru Shida.
Nyla was never really given the chance to be a champion, which is a huge shame as she is undoubtedly one of the most talented performers in her division. Hopefully, AEW gives her another title reign with the World or TBS Championship at some point as a make-good for a huge booking misstep they had with Rose's title reign.
