10 Worst WrestleMania Title Matches Ever

8. Edge Vs Chris Jericho - WrestleMania 26

As two of the finest all-rounders in the company, Chris Jericho and Edge seemed dead-certs to have a fabulous match on the stacked WrestleMania 26 card.

However, they struggled to engage the mammoth stadium crowd, highlighting how poorly Edge had connected as a babyface since his surprise return at January's Royal Rumble.

His early comeback from injury was part of the in-built backstory that left both men destined for a WrestleMania clash months in advance. The previous July, the two were a newly-established supergroup, created to restore credibility to the Unified Tag Team Titles.

However, less than a month into their reign, Edge tragically injured his achilles on a house show, forcing his immediate surrender of the title and an extended absence from television.

Jericho continued unabated, taking on The Big Show to form the impressive 'Jeri-Show' unit, and mocking Edge for being too weak to team with him.

When the two finally interacted on television, the chemistry just wasn't there. Edge hadn't found his voice as a face, and drooling exclamations of 'Spear! Spear! Spear!' earned him a sing-along chant but little else in the way of momentum.

Their pedestrian match played out to silence, and unexpected defeat for 'The Rated-R Superstar' signalled his upcoming return to the heel fold.
