10 Worst WrestleMania Title Matches Ever

3. Triple H Vs Randy Orton - WrestleMania 25

Wrong place, wrong time, wrong wrestlers, wrong match.

Indeed, WWE got nothing right with the Triple H/Randy Orton match that headlined WrestleMania 25.

The contest was designed to be the payoff to a bitter rivalry between Randy and the whole McMahon family, after a brutal punt kick by 'The Viper' on Vince trigged a chain of events that brought the two former Evolution members together in a embittered turf war.

Alongside Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes, Orton's 'Legacy' trio had (sort of) ran roughshod on Monday Night Raw, and used their strength in numbers to propel Orton to Royal Rumble victory and dominant displays over the elder McMahon and his son Shane.

Dragging Stephanie McMahon into the story was the invitation for Triple H to assert himself, as the familial links between 'The Game' and the gaffers was finally acknowledged, setting up a payoff to what had now become a blood feud.

A blood feud in which if Triple H was disqualified, he would lose the title.

Disaster. The two were forced into a straight wrestling match. A plodding, maladroit wrestling match at that that exposed every weakness in both men's arsenals.

Now imagine that has to follow maybe the greatest wrestling match in the history of the company between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Doomed.
