10 Worst WWE Championship Reigns Of The 1990s
1. Big Show (November 1999 - January 2000)
Everything about Big Show's first WWE Championship reign was wrong.
Firstly, he won the title in the screwiest way possible. He was inserted into a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series 1999 after Steve Austin had been hit by a car earlier in the night. Replacing Austin with Show is a bit like replacing a gourmet steak with a Big Mac.
Instead of feuding with Triple H or The Rock, Show spent almost his entire reign battling the Big Boss Man. This led to the infamous scene where Boss Man stole Show's father's coffin, which has to be one of the best and worst moments in WWE history. The Giant's reign lasted just three days into the new millennium before Triple H took the title back from him.
All of this was done as an attempt to distract fans from the fact that Austin was going away for a while. This ill-fated decision led to weeks of carnage and permanently spoiled any chance Big Show had of ever being a serious main eventer.
But hey, we did get that coffin segment, so not all bad news.
