Vince McMahon is like a jacked up version of Mr. Burns from The Simpsons. Both are rich and powerful businessmen, neither is averse to making questionable dealings to further their practice, and both exude an intimidating aura on all those beneath them.

Also much like Mr. Burns, Vince seems to have an almost schizophrenic change of heart at the drop of a hat, which can inherently effect the booking plans and career direction of the superstars themselves. One such example of this is Brodus Clay.

After finishing as runner-up of NXT Season 4, Clay made his main roster debut as Alberto Del Rio's bodyguard, which lasted less than two months. He was then taken off TV while he filmed a movie before he began reappearing on Superstars, squashing local jobbers.

Meanwhile, vignettes began to air on Raw, promoting the re-debut of Clay as a monster heel; this continued for some time as his start date was continuously delayed. In a complete surprise to everyone, when he did eventually resurface, gone was the hate-filled rhino that was promoted in the video packages - in his place stood 'The Funkasaurus'.

Strutting down the aisle to the recycled entrance theme of Ernest 'The Cat' Miller from 2004, Brodus Clay became a funk loving dancer. Despite going on a winning streak, the gimmick screamed "future endeavours" at first sight.
