For a year, womens wrestling in NXT had been the highlight of the program, with the women putting on great matches with competent storylines. It was a welcome departure from how the Divas were portrayed in the WWE, constantly turning heel and face without explanation, and being put in non-distinguishable matches week after week. So when Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch were all simultaneously brought up at the same time, it looked like WWE was starting to be more like NXT when it came to their treatment of womens wrestling. Instead, the NXT women simply fit into the WWE model of how they treat their Divas, constantly turning heel and face (Paige turned heel on Charlotte, who in turn turned heel, and Team Bella are somehow babyfaces now), and being put in non-distinguishable matches week after week. The Divas Revolution turned into a hashtag in WWE, whereas in NXT its still a change in culture and a mindset.
