10 Worst WWE Intercontinental Champions Ever

9. The Godfather

In terms of popularity, it's fair to say that The Godfather was one of the more popular IC Champs. The problem is that it was such a short reign that was completely forgettable. He won the IC Title on the April 12, 1999 edition of Raw from Goldust. This win followed a two week reign of Road Dogg, who then dropped it to Goldust for a whopping two week reign and then Godfather got it. It's not like he was a great wrestler. He was loved by the people, though. They rooted him on because of the "ho train" he brought to the ring every match. His reign was supposed to end at Over The Limit 1999 in a match against The Blue Blazer Owen Hart, but due to the tragic accident that killed Hart it didn't happen. Instead, he lost it to Jeff Jarrett (Owen's tag team partner at the time) at the Raw taping two days later and his boring 43 day title reign was over. They really did a poor job of booking the IC Title in 1999. There were so many short, meaningless title reigns during that period.
