10 Worst WWE Moments Of 2003

4. Scott Steiner’s Sad Reality

Scotty Steiner looked like a million bucks when he debuted at Survivor Series 2002, spat expletives at a nearby staff member and had Madison Square Garden eating from the palms of his hands. A new star had arrived, and he seemed destined to continue the fine work he'd been doing towards the end of WCW's shelf life a few years beforehand. Then, as the old saying goes, the bell rang.

It was a sobering wake up call for those hoping that 'Big Poppa Pump' would be a fine addition to the WWE main event scene. Steiner's matches vs. Triple H at both Royal Rumble and No Way Out 2003 were the pits. Honestly, they were dire, and it didn't help his plight that Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit was sensational in the WWE Title slot at the Rumble. That dynamic, tight wrestling match exposed just how weak Hunter vs. Steiner truly was.

Being fair, Scott was struggling with drop foot and various other injuries at the time. He likely shouldn't have been wrestling in lengthier matches at all, but timing and the fact he needed rest/surgery was only half the problem. HHH was as big as a house at the time, so he couldn't bump around for Steiner the way he needed to, and Scott certainly couldn't do that for 'The Game'.

It's difficult to pick between the Rumble and No Way Out matches, to be honest. They were both trash, so consider the "moment" here everyone's sudden realisation that this 'Genetic Freak' was a shambles physically. If only he'd been part of the 'Attitude Era' in the WWF when he could still move around properly - that could've been special.

Steiner defo would've dropped some pearlers on the mic during that era.
