10 Worst WWE Wrestlers Of 2016

3. Dana Brooke

Dana Brooke was brought onto the main roster to reignite her old NXT partnership with Emma earlier this year, but it fell apart as soon as Emma was injured. She was thrown alongside Charlotte shortly afterwards, but while originally introduced Dana as the Women’s Champion’s protege, she soon became a dogsbody.

Instead of letting Brooke play to the smarmy, obnoxious persona she’d developed in NXT, Brooke became completely subservient. She was too often reduced to a quivering, whimpering wreck in Charlotte’s presence, and while Dana showed some backbone by slapping her bully of a mentor in September, it wasn’t to last. Brooke soon reverted to her lapdog role, then fell out of the story all-together: it’s been weeks since we’ve seen Dana and Charlotte together, and their allegiance may already be over.

As a performer, Dana looks like she has regressed since leaving NXT. She’s clumsy on the microphone and even worse in the ring, and the fact that even Bayley couldn’t drag a decent match out of her speaks volumes. Pair these deficiencies with the heat-vacuum that was the Bayley feud, and you have one of the least impressive superstar resumes of 2016.

It was originally rumoured that WWE were planning on setting Brooke up as a major babyface to fight Charlotte at WrestleMania, but it looks like those plans have been abandoned. A good move, as for all Dana’s hard work, she’s one of the least convincing workers in the company.
