10 WrestleMania Rematches That Were Better Than The Originals

9. The Hardy Boyz vs The Dudley Boyz vs Edge & Christian - SummerSlam 2000

The rivalry between hot young tag teams Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz seemed to culminate when the Hardyz won an amazingly innovative ladder match at No Mercy 1999, but it was rekindled when The Dudley Boyz decided to interject themselves into the teams' business. The Dudleyz's unorthodox style threw the teams for a loop, as did the tables the former ECW Tag Team Champions introduced to their battles. In the end, the first-ever three-way tag team ladder match was penciled in for WrestleMania 2000, and the exciting bout, which saw Edge and Christian capture their first World Tag Team Championship, was the highlight of the show. The score wasn't settled, though. While the Dudleyz soon found themselves fan favorites, Edge and Christian's new heelish attitudes saw them pick increasingly-personal rivalries with their opponents. The Canadian duo began using the Con-Chair-To to keep themselves ahead, a brutal double chairshot to an opponent's skull. With the Hardyz representing ladder matches, the Dudleyz continuing to use tables, and Edge and Christian picking chairs to get their dirty work done, combining all three was the only answer. At SummerSlam 2000, the teams battled in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) match that outdid their previous encounter. Sure, it was just a ladder match with more weapons at ringside, but those weapons were used to their full effect. In the end, reigning champions Edge and Christian once more retrieved the World Tag Team Titles... which, of course, set the stage for TLC II at WrestleMania X-Seven.
