10 Wrestlers AEW Has Given Up On

3. Sonny Kiss

You'd have to go all the way back to 21 October 2020 for Sonny's last match on flagship show Dynamite - that, to illustrate why Kiss is on this list in the first place, was a 26-second loss to Kenny Omega in the first round of AEW's Eliminator Tournament.

It's been 100% Dark and Elevation for the ex-cheerleader since.

An alliance with Joey Janela didn't do much for either. Sonny reverted to his days as a manager/valet for the 'Bad Boy', but she didn't find much success and parted ways quietly. His grudge match on the 28 December 2021 edition of Dark didn't even get much attention from All Elite hardcores, which really sums it up.

AEW don't seem interested in pushing Kiss at all. In fact, Sonny's only real shine seems to come from occasional mentions on JR's podcast when he's asked who has a bright future in the industry or who stands out from the crowd.
